Publishing Activity

Publishing activity is one of the most important communication "channels" of the National Heritage Institute. Through it, we present important topics of monument conservation and individual monuments to the public, inform about new developments in the field and address questions concerning both theory and practice.

The National Heritage Institute presents its expert and research activities through the publication of periodic and non-periodic publications at its individual workplaces. The publications focus on the interpretation of various segments of the heritage fund in different interdisciplinary contexts (cultural-historical, technological, environmental). The offer includes expert peer-reviewed periodicals, some of which are included in the international citation database Scopus, specialized and popular science books, specialized editorial series, catalogs, methodologies, guides, including titles in foreign languages.

Within the National Heritage Institute, books and journals can be purchased through the online store, in a physical bookstore in the center of Prague, some publications by arrangement at our workplaces and sites, and also from selected booksellers.
